Mission Accomplished: Volcanoes prospects finish strong AFL season

Simply put: it was a great Arizona Fall League for some of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes top Minor League prospects.

Joe Panik (Volcanoes '11) finished with a .323 batting average (30 for 93) with 6 doubles and 2 home runs -- and plenty of national sports coverage.

Stephen Harrold (Volcanoes '10) was unhittable -- going 3-0 with a 1.76 ERA, a save and 15 strike outs in 15.1 innings.

Seth Rosin (Volcanoes '10) was very effective going 0-0 with a 2.13 ERA and 9 strike outs in 12.2 innings pitched.

Brandon Crawford (Volcanoes '08) showed his power batting .276 (24/87) with 2 doubles, triples and home runs.

This marks the completion of a very successful 2011 for this Volcanoes alumni who will next appear with their team mates in 2012 Spring Training this February. Volcanoes Watching will continue to bring you coverage of Volcanoes in the Australian Baseball League and the Latin Winter Leagues.
