Perth keeps rolling, improves to 24-7

The Perth Heat continue to march towards an Australian Baseball League regular season title as the team's 3-2 extra-inning win over Brisbane improved the defending ABL champs to 24-7.

Alex Burg (Volcanoes '10 -- ABL home run leader), Cameron Lamb (Volcanoes '11 -- ABL wins co-leader), Brooke Knight (Corvallis, Oregon -- active ABL leader in managerial wins) are back in action tonight as part of the Heat's five-game series against the Bandits.

Perth's current winning percentage .774 is ahead, for example, of the Northwest League's record of .757 by the former Medford club -- though Perth still has plenty of baseball to play before the regular season ends.
