2012: Game 11:: Eugene Emeralds at Salem-Keizer Volcanoes

Game 11: Monday, June 25th – The Volcanoes open a three-game homestand against our rival in-state opponent – The Eugene Emeralds, affiliate of the San Diego Padres. It is our second of five Kids Night at Volcanoes Stadium where parents of children 12 and under may e-mail Volcanoes owner, Jerry Walker, at jwalker@volcanoesbaseball.com, and request a free ticket.

The fabulous and funny Inflatamaniacs, who performed on NBC'S America 's Got Talent, will appear to entertain you sponsored by McDonalds of Salem-Keizer.

We will also acknowledge the tremendous young men and women who just graduated from West Salem High School. Game time is 6:35; Gates Open at 5:30.

Story behind the story: your Volcanoes return home for their third series of the season with a 6-4 record and two consecutive series wins to start 2012. The Eugene series offers some great subplots, including an opportunity for one of these two teams to build some distance in the Western Division.

The Volcanoes have outscored their opponents 38-35 through 10 games this year which projects to a 40-36 season.

It's been a remarkable 10 games for the West Division with all teams at or about the .500 mark. For the Volcanoes, having six wins in 10 games is a much more positive start than the 2011 squad -- who battled very hard but found wins hard to come buy into late July.

REMEMBER: If you purchase in advance of game day, you SAVE $1.00 per ticket.
